Woking’s stunning multi-million-pound town centre transformation, one of the most ambitious developments in the south-east, is heading towards completion later this year.

Planned almost a decade ago, the new development marks an exciting new chapter for Woking and will play a pivotal role in future economic recovery, delivering new housing, jobs and business to the heart of the town. Part of Woking’s breathtaking new skyline, two of the town’s stunning new towers are on track to welcome their first new residents late this summer.

The prestigious, carefully-designed residential development – The Marches – takes in both 30-storey and 34-storey towers and boasts 429 studio, one and two-bedroomed apartments across these two landmark buildings.

Reflecting a new vision of convenient modern living in an outstanding, accessible location, residents will enjoy all the benefits of town centre living, easy access to the local countryside and just a quick commute to London.

With jaw-dropping views towards London and much of Surrey, taking in the best of the daylight and featuring enviable amenity spaces and outstanding landscaped roof gardens, these exceptional built-to-rent residential apartments are also environmentally sound. Safe and secure, each tower will also feature a dedicated concierge.

Leader of Woking Borough Council, Cllr Ayesha Azad, said:

“Victoria Place is part of a bold and ambitious plan for Woking that builds on the many enviable advantages we have, and it will be important in enhancing local quality of life for a generation.”

“I’m delighted that the two residential towers are complete and that occupants will soon be enjoying the very best of town centre living.”

Woking will also add its first four-star international hotel later this year when the new Hilton hotel opens its doors at Woking’s third big tower. At more than 100 metres high, this flagship hotel will feature 189 guest rooms, including 12 suites.

There is also a ballroom and additional meeting room space.

Located on the junction of Victoria Way and Church Street West, Hilton Woking will feature a lobby bar, an all-day dining restaurant – and, impressively, a striking Sky Bar on its 22nd floor offering commanding views across Surrey towards London.

“Woking’s ambitious regeneration – together with the town’s fantastic connectivity to central London and its main airports makes it a prestigious location in which to introduce our flagship brand,” Patrick Fitzgibbon Senior vice-president, development, EMEA, Hilton, said.

Residents will also have access to parking and space for their bikes. Representing a major joint investment by Woking Borough Council and Moyallen Group Holdings, which owns Peacocks shopping centre, the Victoria Place development is one of the South East of England’s most ambitious building and engineering projects and completion is now firmly in sight.

Victoria Place is scheduled to open towards the end of the year, comprising 125,000 sq ft of new retail floorspace including a 50,000 sq. ft Marks and Spencer.

With a direct link to the new apartments, the flagship M&S will anchor Henry Plaza beneath a large glass dome which will create an enhanced shopping experience. The development will also bring two new public plazas and an additional 284 parking spaces to Woking and an additional restaurant unit on Commercial Way.
