Come to our Festive Fayre

Come to Woking’s Festive Fayre on Thursday 24 November to get in the Christmas spirit and have a jolly good time.

The festivities begin at 4.30pm in Jubilee Square when the centrepiece of the celebrations, a 37ft Norwegian Spruce Christmas tree kindly donated from Woking Asian Business Forum (WABF), will have its lights switched on by Mayor of Woking, Cllr Saj Hussain.

The Mayor will be joined by key members of the council and special guest, Dame Penelope Keith to mark this exciting moment.

Following the illumination switch-on, visitors can enjoy Christmas carols by Bisley School Choir Medley, indulge in a festive feast at the vegan market, entertain the kids on children’s funfair rides and watch a thrilling professional ice-skating performance at Woking’s Winter Paradice ice rink in Victoria Square along with a large helping of mince pies!

The festive vegan market returns to Woking following their recent success in the town centre. Stall holders will be serving up their best Christmas treats, as well as unique gifts to browse and purchase.

The Christmas magic doesn’t stop there. Why not take the little shoppers to see the big man in red at Santa’s grotto? Meet Father Christmas and his reindeer for free in Central Square, Wolsey Place from Monday 21 November to Saturday 24 December. For dates and times, visit here

Elsewhere in Woking town centre there is more festive fun including New Victoria Theatre’s panto Cinderella featuring Brian Connelly. Whilst not forgetting the plethora of retailers and restaurants welcoming you in over the festive period.

This year Victoria Place Woking is home to ‘The Forgotten Toys’, providing pre-loved toys the chance of a new home by donating them to Sebastian’s Action Trust. Find out more here
