Following a recent rise in infection rates, Woking Borough Council is reminding residents and visitors that they need to remain vigilant to slow the spread of coronavirus.
The key symptoms of coronavirus are:
- - a high temperature
- - a new continuous cough
- - a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste
Anyone who has symptoms of coronavirus, whatever their age, should book a test immediately. It’s important to book within the first 5 days of having symptoms.
A mobile testing unit will be visiting Woking Park Car Park from 10.30am to 3.30pm every day until Friday 28 August, so it is easy to be tested. Simply book through the NHS website or call 119.
If you test positive for coronavirus, you can continue to play your part. With NHS Test & Trace, you can share the contact details of those you have been in contact with. These people will then be alerted by the NHS and advised to self-isolate.
