A brand new state-of-the-art gym has opened in Woking – so there’s still plenty of time to tone up before Christmas!

Well-known fitness expert Max Cacace and his team of personal trainers were joined by his celebrity sister and Strictly Come Dancing favourite Flavia on Saturday morning to officially premier the new facilities at the Goldworth Park Centre.

The official gym kick-off was also attended by Woking’s deputy mayor, Cllr Saj Hussain.

Fully equipped with all the latest cutting-edge strength, conditioning and cardio equipment, with supervision from a team of friendly professional trainers, La Palestra Health and Fitness is now open seven days a week to help everyone to stick with their fitness goals.

“We offer no gimmicks or false promises,” said Max.

“At La Palestra, clients will be offered only honest advice and care, whether it is for training, diet and nutrition, or during recovery from an injury, illness or operation. We offer an inclusive space and special support for disabilities, and encourage clients to not only improve but also maintain their health and wellbeing.”

The gym is driven by Max’s passion to educate clients to pay attention to their own bodies, and not just follow fitness exercises and trends that can end up being harmful in the long run.

Safety also comes first.

As you’d expect from a brand new fitness centre, La Palestra takes its customers’ safety seriously, and has ensured that it’s not only fully Covid-19 secure for people who wish to train on their own, but also for clients who would like to work on their fitness with one of the highly qualified personal trainers.

La Palestra – the Italian word for ‘gym’ – operates a #STAYSAFEWITHUS policy, with all equipment spaciously positioned so that full social distancing can easily apply. Screens are also available for protection and hand sanitiser is freely available on entry and exit.

All staff members will be wearing masks unless exercising and visitors are expected to do the same.

The centre in Goldsworth Park was the ideal location for Max and his team to launch their new venture, as he is keen for the gym to become an integral part of the community.

La Palestra also kindly supported Woking Hospice, which is also located in Goldsworth Park, at Saturday’s launch by raising money for those attending in a raffle to win free membership prizes.

If you are interested in checking out the new facilities and would like a free tour, or simply to chat with Max and his team about how the gym could help you get fit and have fun at the same time, visit www.lapalestra.co.uk or email info.lapalestrafit@gmail.com

Please note that tours of the gym must be booked in advance to comply with Covid-19 restrictions.
