On Thursday 8 November, Woking will come alive with a stunning parade of colourful lanterns to celebrate Diwali, the Festival of Lights.
The parade starts in Gloucester Square (near the library) at 6pm.

This lively, colourful event is the most popular of all the festivals from South Asia. Celebrated by Jains and Sikhs, as well as Hindus, the Festival of Lights marks the victory of good over evil, light over darkness, and knowledge over ignorance.

The Diwali after party will take place at the Fiery Bird from 7.30pm.

Why not make a lantern to bring along to the event with you.
